Porsche study concludes aluminum could reduce Taycan weight, increase manufacturing simplicity

A new study by Porsche and a consortium of aluminum producers concludes that replacing the Taycan electric sedan's steel-heavy roof with aluminum would cut its weight by about 40 percent without sacrificing performance or safety.
